It all began from a little shop in Newtown.

Since 1969 from the back of a little take away shop in Australia St, Newtown Tim & Effie Stamoulis, migrants from Greece wanted to make the most of their journey to the "Land of Opportunity" so they worked hard to establish themselves and their young family.

Throughout their time in Newtown they became socially well-known and other business people would approach Tim to "get them' specific items and products, a food "dealer" of sorts if you wish. After a long day in the shop Tim would peel & pack fresh potatoes and deliver them to other businesses in the evenings, from here he purchased a chip cutting machine, which allowed him to provide an extra range of potatoes to the industry. This lead to requests for many other items.

Business was booming so Tim & Effie decided to leave their humble shop and move to larger premises on Farr St, Marrickville. The intention was to expand their customer base and product range and this is exactly what they did.

Now, 50+ years later Marrickville Freezers Foodservice has expanded and moved to its brand new purpose built facility in Moorebank. This has been achieved due of the loyal support of all their customers. Customer service is the key, everything else is secondary.
